Alexis Sanchez’s rags to riches story to be depicted in biopic

The rags to riches story of Manchester United star Alexis Sanchez will be depicted on celluloid in a biopic on the life and journey of the football star. Alexis Sanchez has himself revealed that a production house has will be filming his “rags to riches” story for a feature.

The 29-year-old Manchester United superstar, Sanchez has revealed the news on his Instagram account with a video of his childhood struggles and highs of his professional career as a football star.

He uploaded a video on his Instagram account, showing various clips of him during his childhood as well as highlights from his professional career.

“This is where I took the first steps to fulfilling my dream of being a football player,” says Sanchez, and adds that “I never stopped dreaming because life is full of opportunities.”

A narrative on the video also states “The story of a boy who will do anything to fulfil his dream.”

Born in Topocilla, Chile, the only child of his parents Sanchez childhood was full of hardships. But the Manchester United today has a reported worth of over £35 million ($44 million), a mansion in London worth £5.9 million ($7.4 million) and fleet of luxury cars like Bentley, Mercedes and BMW valued at £1.5 million ($2 million).

The movie, according to media reports, will start with Sanchez’s humble childhood in the city of Tocopilla.

The casting is reported to be in progress. The film will hit the sets in the next few months with a Premiere targeted during the 2019 Copa America. Sanchez is a two-time Copa America winner with Chile. He himself will feature in the biopic. A Chilean youngsters reported to being persuaded to play young Sanchez.

The film is reportedly being produced by Fabula Pictures of the Oscar-winning A Fantastic Woman fame.
