BARC Ratings: It is India versus rest of the games

When Team India plays entire India matches. The equation that determines the cricket world’s economics is reaffirmed in numbers as India opened their ICC World Cup campaign against South Africa.

The match at Rose Bowl, Southampton, on June 5 has recorded more than 200% audience over the second most watched game during Week 23 (June 1-7, 2019) on the Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) television audience ratings.

The live broadcast of the match figures twice in the most-watched sports genre programmes for the week – in the No. 1 position on Star Sports 1 Hindi with 1,55,19,000 impressions and at No. 5 on DD Sports for 49,29,000. In between live broadcast of the Australia-West Indies, England-Pakistan and Bangladesh-South Africa matches occupy second to fourth positions in the order of mention.

Amidst the week dominated by the World Cup LIVE broadcast, free to air Star Sports First has found a place in the top 5 most-watched sports channels chart, ahead of DD Sports in the 5th position.
