Friday is Preeti’s last day in office, she has confirmed to InsideSport.co. In charge for development and delivery of strategic communication plans, she had been handling the media and driving publicity for the multi-channel operator.

Preeti is the second professional in Star India’s PR and marketing team to quit this week.

Another senior hand in the Star Sports Marketing and Communications team, Jimit Shah too had quit the organisation earlier this week. He will be joining Zee 5.

A broadcast industry PR professional for a decade and a half, Preeti leaves Star India after a six-year stint. During her tenure with India’s leading sports broadcaster, she had been in charge for development and delivery of strategic communication plans.

Before joining the Star group in 2013, Preeti has served as a senior professional in prominent media organisations like Reliance Big Pictures, UTV and SaharaOne Television.

A post graduate in advertising and public relations, Preeti had started her professional journey with PR company Sampark Public Relations. She has spent over seven years in PR agencies, managing more than 100 brands from manufacturing to consumer products to services. Working for Edelman India, she would handle the complete mandate for TATA Consumer Products.
